I recently designed the album artwork for Natalie Brown’s new CD, Violin Crossings. She chose an eco-friendly approach to the packaging by using the eco-wallet from Disc Makers. This disc packaging saves on plastic by only using only a thin recycled paper board sleeve. The sleeve comes with a high gloss or matte UV coating that will protect the disc. The dimensions are close to a jewel case which is great if you plan to sell your CD in retail stores. The CD sleeve is reminiscent of a retro record sleeve. I followed up this classic, earthy theme with a design and photography that accentuated this. All photography for this project was also shot locally in-house.

The cover opens to extend to the back. Since there is no spine in the eco-wallet, this can be a seamless work of art. It also follows the theme of Violin Crossings since the front photo is crossing over to the back.
